<3 = Your ass is greater than mine
So, while i’ve been off i have been looking on some forums and generally watching idiots make… well… idiots out of themselves on YouTube, and i keep seeing this shit everywhere 
, <3 , :0, 
, 0:-) , }:-( and so on. Most of these are obvious, stupid still, but yes obvious. However a few continue to puzzle me.

What the hell does that mean? From what i can infer that means that your ass is greater than mine. < that is lesser and the 3 looks like an ass. Added together they make:
< + 3 = <3 = Your ass is greater than mine (when someone posts it to you).
Another few i don’t get are the “0:-)”. Right…Pause…I came back after a couple of minutes staring at it and i can quite firmly say that i have no idea what it really means and as a result have no idea what to take the piss out of it. What i immediately thought was that it was a smiley face with a bar of soap stuck on it’s head. But that’s stupid, so i thought some more. I reached the conclusion that it was either a face with a vagina on its head. Or if you look at it the other way round, a face with a dick on it’s head. I see why people use this now.
The other one is “}:-(”. Well the same thing again, so i’ll say what i first thought, that there was a frowning face with a tree growing out of it’s head. Again this was quickly replaced by the thought of an oddly shaped penis growing out of it’s head. I now understand why it is sad. I’d hate to have a dick waving in my face all day.
As i have just been looking on the internet again, i found out some more which i have seen on forums. O;^) , %-) , (>”<) , >(O,O)< . I mean come on, what the fuck does that mean? The end one i thought look like a snow man. When will you realise that using shit like this makes you a.) Look like a complete dick b.) Makes me not respond to you, the single most terrible thing that could ever happen on the internet, or in your whole life c.) Is one of the most unmanly things a guy or manly woman can ever do. The list is endless. Now this is not because i am grammatically perfect, although i am perfect anyway, but i can’t be bothered to put up with people who write like this, so i won’t. If you email, or even IM me with this shit, i’m leaving the conversation. Just ask my friends, i fell out and blocked one just because he used “lol” too much in an MSN conversation. He was lucky, if he’d have used it in real life he would be dead instead of being seriously injured.
So anyway, it’s kind of a narrow subject so there’s not much more i can say, just that if you are thinking, “he’s a right idiot, they’re used to show emotion”. What i have too say is that you are an idiot, firstly for reading down to here and secondly because you use them. Oh there is a third reason, you are a pussy for trying to convey emotion… especially on an instant messenger.
