New Gloves And Photo Shoot

I’ve not posted a written article for a while so I thought I’d go ahead and update you all about what’s happening. I’ve basically been riding around with the Go Pro rolling all the time but to be honest all of my rides have been pretty mundane as of late. Hopefully I’ll be going for a blast tomorrow so if that works out then I should get some nice footage. I have snippets here and there of good stuff which I’ll eventually make into a compilation after a while as well.

I did get some new gloves the other day and I’ve done a photo shoot haha. Pretty amateurish as I did it myself but nevertheless. Here are some of the images:

The gloves look and feel amazing, I typically like the shit kicker look haha. Besides this my life has been pretty slow paced as of recent, I’ve ordered a 1TB hard rive just this minute and my 32GB SD Card should arrive tomorrow. Apart from this I’m going to a wheelie competition this Saturday and I have a chance at winning a GSXR 750 or a scorpion exhaust for my bike (something high up on my list). Modifications For The Future

At the moment I’m just waiting on the Go Pro HD to arrive which means that I’ve not really got an awful lot to talk about or to try and whisk into a topic. I’ll quickly go over what I’ve done recently and then talk about the modifications I want to do to the Hornet in the future. Tonight I’ve been to a car/bike show in Hope, Derbyshire and there were tons of nice bikes and cars. Loads of old BSA’s, Triumphs and cruisers but the sport bike and street bike scene were desperately under represented! Where were you guys!? Apart from Lamborghini’s, Aston Martins and loads of old cars there was also a tank there which seemed to be attracting quite a bit of attention.

Modifications:

To get onto the real topic of this article I’ll begin here. I have a Honda Hornet 600 from 2002 which was slightly modified when I bought it a few months ago. Seeing as it is such a fun bike I’ve decided that I want to modify it to a street fighter kind of level. I don’t want to go all out with a custom paint job and everything as it is the bike I use everyday in all weather to commute on, so there’s no real point in spending thousands of pounds on chrome work and flashy points. I simply want a good everyday bike which looks unique, is fun and won’t get damaged easily.

Above is a picture of the bike currently. I don’t mind it as it is but there are a few things I want to change. The bike has the following modifications currently:

Belly-pan
Rear Hugger
Radiator Guard
Fender Extender
Tail Tidy
Small Arrow Indicators/Signals
Colour Coded Side Panel
Wheel stripes
Crash Bungs/Frame Sliders
Bar End Protectors

The modifications I want to add to it are as follows:

Slip-on Exhaust (Preferably Beowulf Stubby)
Bar end Mirrors/some other mirrors
Twin “Dominator” Headlights
Stunt Grips
Clear LED Tail light
Blue Anodised Renthal Bars
K & N Air Filter

As you can see I don’t have far to go before the end product. Almost all of these modifications make the bike more practical as well as improving looks. If I had the cash I’d also like to strap a big ass turbo kit to it but that will have to wait haha. I’ve really grown attached to this bike as it is just about the perfect all rounder for my needs. I’d like a ZX10r, I’d like a KTM Supermoto but all of these bikes serve a specific purpose. I need to choose a bike which will allow me to do everything; regularly commute 100 miles (200 return), ride everyday to pick up food, be a blast on weekends. All of this in all weathers. It’s a lot to ask of a bike and I’m fairly confident I chose the best one for the task. The Hornet is “me” and I’m glad. In an ideal world I wouldn’t need this bike – I could have my ZX10, Supermoto, and tourer, but the world is not ideal and the Hornet makes my irrational world a little more perfect…

Blasts and Honda Hornet Wallpapers!

Blasts and Honda Hornet Wallpapers – Over the past few days my friend has got a new bike and we’ve been gone for hours of the day just blasting round in glorious sunshine for once. During this time I have taken the opportunity to take some more pictures and simply crop them and create a few wallpapers. Feel free to download them but if you redistribute them then please add my link in any description. They’re not great as they are taken with my CAMCORDER but I am quite impressed.

More riding to come in the next week and then I’ll be off to Portugal to collect some cigars. I’ll update if I can get to an internet café as 4* hotels seem to think that the internet does not exist. Oh well…

P.S Right now it is 3:34 AM and i am watching the sun come up… one of my favorite past times

Shit Faced With Green Flies!

So English people! We finally have nice weather! I went riding around for a few hours on some of the twistiest (still not a word yet eh?) roads in the world – certainly in England, the notorious “Snake Pass” which is a couple of miles from my house (luckily). I covered quite a few miles (can’t remember the actual number) and all of it was solo of course – seeing as everybody is at work and I don’t have any friends near me who have large capacity machines. Solo is ok though as it lets me set my own pace, I’ll let you decide what that is!

The ride had roads ranging from fast sweepers to tiny back roads which have nobody on them. I do have video footage but it is once again pointing to the floor haha, I really need to get that sorted for the summer so I can showcase my inane talent to you guys (slight sarcasm is intended). I put the video camera in half way down the twisty back roads as I got ABSOLUTELY SHIT FACED BY GREEN FLIES! They were in my mouth, my nose, and one bastard even got into my ear! It was like riding through a hail storm and I and the bike are now covered with the bloody things. Besides from my quite brisk riding and general moaning and spitting out of green flies the footage is quite entertaining even though it is looking at the floor. The ride has reignited my love of back road bashing and I will be doing a lot more in the future. I actually jumped up off of the road on one part (LINK HERE) which is noted in the video by a “Weee!” sound coming from my mouth haha.

Clearly this has been the highlight of my day and with the weather set to flourish I can only pray that I have enough fuel to ride a lot more this next week before I leave for Portugal (Honda Pantheon 125 2T here I come). I almost forgot to say this but on Saturday I went to a Ducati dealership launch at SMC Bikes, Sheffield. It was quite a fun day altogether with good bikes, lots of people and Carl Fogarty was there. I’m currently in negotiations with certain companies about sponsorships for my motorcycle gear so I hope that works out as well. All in all most things are looking up, a complete shift from a month or so ago! It’s amazing what the sun and a fast ride can do to alter your mood.

Honda Hornet Photo Session

So the other day I went out for a ride on the Hornet decided to shove my camera in the bag for no real reason at all. On my way back about 3 miles from my house I decided that it would be a good idea to pull into a reservoir and take some nice scenic images of the bike. After coming back and fiddling around with some filters on Photoshop I came up with some wallpapers if anybody is interested. I have loads of images but I decided to only apply the filters to the best one. If you would like any of the others then by all means just ask and I’ll post them up, or have a go yourself! (Just credit me where appropriate please).

I looked like a weirdo taking the pictures as I didn’t even take my gear off so was just wandering around with the visor down and Mohawk on talking to myself. All for you!

Also you may have noticed the ads on the site now. I hope they don’t annoy you too much and if so then let me know. I’d just like to get something (money) back from the site to help pay for the costs.

On more thing – Sanjay Sharma I seriously have NO IDEA how much the Viper RS V121 is in Indian. I clearly don’t live there. Seeing as I don’t really want to do ALL the work for you I found a good website where you can convert currency at. It’s called Google.
