I am alive! Sorry about the length of time between updates recently but I have been sick quite badly. Hopefully that’s all out of the way now and I can get on with what I want to do. More important news however is the fact that I now own my beautiful Honda Hornet! Here she/it is in all her/its glory! I’ve got a few modifications I’d like to add to the list; some which are expensive such as an aftermarket exhaust and twin headlights and others are minor such as rim stickers. All in due time though.

The ride is extremely different, going from a cruiser to this… I love it. It turns you into a hooligan (a safe one I may add) and just gives you an exhilarating feeling of energy. I’ll do a review sometime in the future but for now let my excitement speak for itself. I am also going to try to stick my camera in there again (my helmet that is) and start “vlogging”, which I have been saying for the past 3 years now haha. Thanks for sticking with me through this time.

Also any name suggestions for my pretty beast?

* Portugal is now booked for May/June and Mallorca for July and August. Amsterdam to be booked for in between them and I leave in September. HECTIC!

Still not a great deal has been happening in my world, even though everyone seems to think that 12C (53F) is really warm here I do not and therefore I have only been going for rides out of necessity apart from the occasional blast through the moors. I found that my headlight is not receiving power also which is annoying as I really don’t like to ride without the headlight on anymore. I’m getting my Hornet this Saturday though so that should be great, the forecast is 15C (62F) and full sun so it should be an awesome day to just cruise around and get used to the thing.

Also I thought I would tell you that I am going to be in Portugal in May and I will likely be renting a motorcycle for a few days. Well I say motorcycle but… it is a Honda Pantheon 2 stroke 125CC scooter haha. Loads of storage though. It will be my fourth time in Portugal in 5 years and if I do get the scooter and do a few videos (which is my plan) then I will try and get to Portimao where the racing circuit is. I think I am also going to go to a bull ring although I am getting a very negative reaction from this statement from friends and family. It’s not that I enjoy seeing animals tormented (they do not kill the bull in most places anymore) but I believe that you’re life can never be filled with enough experiences – good or bad. I’ll also be on a quest to track down a cigar shop seeing as I couldn’t find one last time (I didn’t really look though).

I’m not sure where I’ll be in July and August, I could be in Tunisia or somewhere else, I could equally be at home or doing some day touring on the hornet. Nothing has been finalised yet. The only thing which has put me off of the idea of Tunisia is that apparently the driving over there is dangerous, this doesn’t really bother me but it may not be the brightest idea after all, also I would be on my own as nobody in my group wants to go in a car. I’m not a big fan of package holidays or “guided tours” as they tend to take the “adventure” out of the whole thing, I like my own time limits, my own rules and I don’t want to be hurried by a schedule so the prospect of this is getting less likely by the day. Also after doing some research I found that Tunisia is one of the toughest countries when dealing with social laws. The age of consent is the highest in the world at 20 for example. Once again this doesn’t bother me I just thought that I’d bring it up haha.

Today I’ve been planning some large trips out across Europe. These aren’t going to be happening until a few years down the line but I plan to leave the country after this and wanted to travel across Europe as it’s most likely that I’ll not have the opportunity to do so in the future. A couple of years ago I was offered a job which paid £48,000 ($100,000 at the time) starting wage, designing online banking systems, I would have taken the job but couldn’t at the time, if only they would have asked me now haha. Anyway the great thing about internet work is that I can practically go anywhere in the world and still earn money as the internet is global obviously. That’s about it for now as I am just trailing off here haha.

Well I am finally better, I’ve gone a whole two days without feeling any symptoms of my chronic Diarrhea (I joke, I had a stomach infection). Good news further accompanies my expulsion of illness… I have a new motorcycle! A 2002 Honda Hornet 600 which has been moderately customised to look like a streetfighter. It has 13,000 miles on the clock and is in great condition for the age. Give it a year and then we’ll see what happens haha, winter takes its toll on bikes. Especially chrome ones! I’m picking it up in the next two weeks once my insurance on my current motorcycle runs out.

It’s going to be a good feeling mounting that tasty beast, taking her to the limit and letting her scream out as she is thrashed around, riding her hard in and smooth out and then when we’re almost out of steam sticking my hose in and just pumping until I fill her to the brim. Then I’ll pay her… the cashier that is. Wow, I should write erotic fiction. I’m sorry about that outburst, I just got carried away. I’m a little excited!

I don’t really have many good images at the moment but she’s naked so I’ll post loads of pictures for you guys. Right, no more! She’s blue. There are a lot of customisations I’d like to do but I won’t really have the cash at the moment seeing as I am moving across country, have just bought a new motorcycle, want to buy a cigar humidor and generally would like to take over the world.

I’ve already got some ride outs planned where I want to visit and some photo opportunities I don’t want to pass up. The next week is looking to be a real good week weather-wise so I am going to try and go for a few last rides on my beloved Intruder. I might try and take a few photos at some of my favourite locations around my area so I will see. I have one place where I used to go last Summer when I had just got the Intruder and I just used to go there on my own and relax taking in the view and pigging out on Jaffa cakes. Here is the link. It’s only a few miles from my house but is also quiet and has some great roads near by – the infamous “Snake Pass” being one; the clue is in the name. The place would be a real good location for one of my Romeo’s actually but we shall see.

By the way this picture was taken on my phone and is on the bridge over the reservoir you can see on the Street View link.

Teknic Defender Motorcycle Boots Review – I’ve been using the Teknic Defender boots for 8500 miles now and have done everything from touring to commuting with them strapped nicely around my feet. After this time I thought that it was only fair to do a review. When I purchased them I needed a boot which could do everything, but still be comfortable enough to wear the whole day when I am walking around. For around £69.99 ( $120) I chose the Teknic Defenders as they were cheap, fitted me well, looked good and had all the features I was looking for in a boot.

Comfort

I chose the boots a size larger than I normally am as it was quite difficult to get them on in the beginning due to the quarter zipper (as with most motorcycle boots). Looking back now I am so glad I chose a size too big (they don’t feel big at all) as I have experienced NO discomfort at all. I wear the boots all the time which is mainly on my commute and I keep wearing them when at my destination. They look perfectly presentable when under trousers/pants which is mainly due to the lack of toe slider and PU hard shell. I like this as very rarely does one get their knee-down on the morning rush hour.

They are perfectly comfortable to wear all day while walking around and are of course equally at home on a motorcycle. I have tried them on several different bikes; cruisers, naked and sports and they fit all well.

New Z1000 And An Update – I went to look at Kawasaki’s new range yesterday. The new Z1000 seemed to have everybody’s attention in the store but to be honest i’m not impressed on first impressions. Apparently the ride quality is excellent but the looks are a little extravagant. Sort of like last years Suzuki Gladius I suppose – you either love it or hate it. The colour is what really puts me off and the fact that it just looks kind of “fake”. It doesn’t give a look of character like many of it’s rival such as the Speed Triple (which is actually cheaper) and Ducati Streetfighter/Monster.

Your thoughts anyone?
