Advanced Riding Tips and Techniques Series
Posted by Dinkoman in Riding Tips, tags: advanced, riding, series, techniques, tipsAdvanced Riding Tips and Techniques Series – I have decided that I will add my knowledge to the encyclopaedia of motorcycling by creating a riding tips video series (with articles). I will be writing quite large articles and making videos (hopefully with the Go Pro HD) to contribute to the series, after I have written them all I will be adding them all together to make a book which will be sold on my site for a small fee. I don’t know everything and I’m not pretending to but I practically learnt how to ride a bike off of the internet – I certainly learnt advanced techniques off of the internet and magazines and would like to add my knowledge to this. I ride everyday of the year in whatever the weather. I have ridden in snow, heat, hail, rain, gales and everything in between. I will be covering various topics geared to newer riders; this means that I won’t be telling you how to ride a bike although I may do one on this also towards the end. I’ll mainly be focusing on techniques which will aid a newer rider, these range from road positioning (for safety) to weight distribution (for getting your knee down and obviously going faster – safely of course).
Here is a list of the possible articles:
- Selecting the right bike
- Safety Gear
- How to ride a bike basics
- General Tips
- Hill starts
- Counter-steering
- Over-taking
- Road Positioning
- Knee down (Weight distribution)
- Reading the road
- Rough terrain (riding on gravel etc.)
- Snow riding
- Riding in the rain
- Others added later
Hopefully someone will get some degree of use out of these and will make you a more confident, better and safer rider.
